In 2015 we, Gana and Daja, moved our family of 10 from Los Angeles to Palermo, Maine. We caravanned across country with our 8 children and Daja pregnant with number 9. We were on a mission to build the life of our dreams: country living at its finest, a sustainable family farm, and a healthy place (socially, spiritually, and physically) to raise our family.
Each member of our family chose an area of the farm to make their own. Israel handles the livestock and dairy animals, Lucas mans the garden, Saraa tends to the chickens, Meg makes deliciousness in the kitchen out of it all.
We call our little piece of land Kylo. This reminds us to Keep Your Love On. Love of God, love of one another, love of the land and the community.
“I know of one means only by which to attain to perfection: LOVE. Let us love, since our heart is made for nothing else.” (St. Therese of Lisieux)
In season we share our harvest via a farm share/CSA program. We also have a roadside stand with our surplus produce.
Other services we offer:
Classes on traditional foods and fermentation
Workshops on natural healing and home remedies
Wellness classes (childbirth preparation, prenatal nutrition, and fitness classes (coming soon!))
Handyman and carpentry services
Garden rototilling
Community Events (such as farm-to-table dinners, concerts, bonfires, family movie nights, etc.)
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
This is so cool!!!
